why free software?

Imagine having to pay a license for every computer program that you test or user, ok if you are in the first world and you have many avenues or ways of making money then it is a little easy and you can pay the money because you can see yourself getting money out of the same in the future.
If you are the normal poor student or learner from the third world, unable to connect the future to the present, of course they are never connectible from the present looking perspective due to the uncertainties that are always there. I bet you will never be comfortable or rather cannot pay even if you wanted to, you don't have the money, what will you use to pay?
On the other side, imagine having used free software made cash by developing some applications for customers or just any clients, wont it be easy for you to donate to a foundation like Apache foundation? Now this is the logic of free software, i think it is like the banks that give credit to customers without security, it is a way of helping one another, this should be the reason for humanity, humanity is supposed to do good for one another, we have people with everything and people with nothing, this gap can only be closed through such a model, help the needy, they will reciprocate and even if they don't, the society will grow, which is a good thing.
Thanks to the FOSS people and the many people that keep the free software foundation alive.

Really programmers

If you are a programmer and you have ever gone down on a deadline meeting mission then you are real. Programming is real, people used to think that computers were myths and programming was a funny thing somehow evil because they thought automation was not in their mind or rather in the physical world, they considered it a spiritual thing so when they were told someone could make it happen just by sitting on a machine and keying in characters, they found it unbelievable but instead of embracing the brilliant idea they tried inhibiting it. They failed because today, programming today defines every move that each one of us makes, in it we move in it we survive, we get cash that drives us.

Now programming is crazy, planet programming is far way beyond Kenyan political parties. We have several languages Pascal, Java , C, C++, Lisp, Ruby, Python and many other languages. If asked what is the FUZZ with all these things I would say “”search for betterment”. All these languages thrive in the society full of programmers, programmers have to learn syntax for each new language and get coding. What does this have to do with really programming? Real programming is introduced here in what is called abstract programming, in abstract programming you don’t need to learn languages, you just need to learn how to work with the basic programming, know what programming entails and you can be sure that you will be able to use the last generation of programming, if you program out of love then am certain you know just what am talking about.

When some people do not like you or what you do, they might go making jokes like you just know X or you just know Y but they have never tried you on Z. These naïve comments and abuses that come out of misplaced hate or dislike normal, they indeed define humanity. On this world there is more hate than love at least if one head equals one love and one head equal one hate too , of course love reigns because love has done humanity more than hate , Jesus Christ the son of God died for us out of love and many people have died too out of the same love. Love triumph over hate and even the genius hater know that, the only thing that lasts is love, haters like Adolph Hitler have live and lost in the destruction mission.

Here is the catch for my programming brothers and sister, code like nobody ever programmed, this great man Richard Stallman has struggled for so long to ensure that all of us no matter how much our pocket holds can acquire compilers and editor through the GNU project, if go down and write scripts that do works and create desktop applications that firework we are doing a great thing. The Open Source community will continue to thrive and no one will be on any side of any wall, we will be on the global village. Imagine if internet was proprietary and we will have to pay the original htmlian (the html man) because of this great idea. The internet would certainly not be where it is.

I know its hard to get going, we are all in fixes at least at one point in our live but for others it is worse we have to be in troubles all our lives. Its crazy like the brothers and sisters on death row, they don’t know when by they know what, they are certainly doomed to die because some other evils on greater degree in the name of constitutions have condemned them. It hurts to know that you are going to be killed because a man said you deserve to die, NOBODY deserves to die, don’t condemn a man, you execute him here and GOD will surely execute you after you die, if that does not make sense to you, then stop killing other human beings because they will die after their cells expire.

Keep coding, code if it pleases the heart, code if it gives you cash, code and just code sometimes it is God’s agenda for you like it was for one Linus Torvalds.

blessings.....

to the Kenyatta University Computer Engineers( hope outlives)

This plannet has seen great people live, Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier was a great man, Albert Einstein was a great man, many great people still live. Now I am not in a history class but I have to use history to drive very important points home, I mean home into my brothers and sisters heads, the community looks at us as confused people, people who do not understand what is going on, people who do not know what exactly they are to be doing , I mean some people in the society I mean the society of the students think that you are to be in college for two years and got get employed.

Now to all my Engineers that is not true, history has it for sure that great people live very controversial lives, example: when Fourier wrote his paper on the great subject of signals that later gave him too much fame , the fame that outlived him, the great man of the time in France science refused to publish that paper, it is in history that Lagrage and Laplace refused to publish Fourier's paper, infact they say that it was only after one of these guys died that the paper saw publication, dont you think that is conroversy.
There is a rumour that says Albert Einstein never completed his secondary education, he had
to quit when his family moved from Germany.
What am putting across is the fact that life is not like the classical laws that people of this plannet think they are the norms and they must be obeyed. Life has got no constitution, if you destiny is around you, not visible to you, it is not visible to your neighbour nor is it to your best friend but it is there all the same. You just have to do your best , keep trying no matter how many times you may fail.
When Steve Jobs quit college , he did not know what he was destined for , neither other people know, people saw him as a failure, that is how society is, it sets norms and even calls some of them constitution to govern but that itself doesnt guarantee anything, the uncertainity that defines our lives exists in all times today and beyond. Focus must remain.
It is not heroism or great to be in college for two years and go get paid some few coins with extreme harassment at all times like that is the life you were to live, just imagine in our country, how much does a nursey dropout earn? it is less, what about a class eight dropo?t less too and a form four drop out less again, if all goes normally, then this guy who leaves after two years will earn less that the "professional student". We are going to research , stay with college experience in which you understand that you need not have a man sitting on your head saying he is your boss to actually survive, destiny is God made, he manufactures it and inserts it into that module that defines the Engineer's life, it has to remain invicible because it is inside, always stay real, do your best and when that morning comes, you definitely will glow , it wont matter when the head of your church will be, it wont matter which village you will be in , constituency, clan, tribe , race , age and anything, you will be guarnateed to thrive.
They say reallity is fake, short term vision is cursed, and no vision drawns man , keep trying if you wake up feeling great make that important step in the great direction, your creater will be there to oversee all the important and fulfilling decisions that you make.
Keep trying coz after it is all done you will be a greater person.

really dilemma

They say when a child is born it cries, they also say the reason for crying is the fact that it sees so much uncertainity in the cruel world that it is to meet. I believe that must have been true for me.
When someone joins college I mean university in the independent republic of Kenya, they are happy because they see bright light shining in their futures, some say it is so bright it even scorches their eyes, you can imagine that is what one Man Odonya Japheth was feeling in 2002 when he packed his suitcase and left the village for a great univerisity in his country's capital city Nairobi.
The determinsm thing is an important factor of human life, if I know that 20 days I will be done with some really hard work I am doing then I will be trying very hard to accomplish whatever tasks that I may have been assigned but if I am to do some task and I have no clue on how long it is bound to take then basically I am in trouble. My mind just like any other human mind would definitely want to be free, free because it is human nature.
What does all this fuzz have to do with Odonya the student, now here is the catch, students in the university are supposed to know their exit dates to get a perfect or atleast a clear classification of themselves as , first, second , ... or finalists fso that they can plan their exits, this is not the case with this one guy and many other brothere and sisters in books ofcourse, they have got no idea of how long it is going to take them to be in college. You can imagine the dilemma here, society knows the brother has got to atleast get out of college some day and move on, the funny thing is that it even knows when he should finish and start doing some other things but in his own mind that day is like the return of the messaiah, believe you me it is hell to go through that kind of trouble.
Society is just outwrightly unfair, it is really mess, kenyans talk of the system, yeah it is a bad system why lie.
The system lies and people listen and operate on the lies, no semester has passed peacefully, strikes strikes and strikes, lecturers strikes, students strikes and so on , it is really mess and nobody cares.
The hope, one day these stochastic things will end and we will get detereministic atleast so that we can operate with certainity. Human beings though greatly uncertain love to see certainity when they operate.
Thanks to the great God, hope continues to thrive on the plannet.
Thanks and thanks again....

Blame theory!! you have got to read this...

My believe is that atleast every person on this planet has got a mentor, that person that leads his life or that person that he believe he or she should model his/her life after. I have mentors too.
Among my mentors, there is one that i really just admire, this is an artist, am not an artist myself atleast as per the dictionary definition that i know. This guy is just great, i always read the scribbles of his interviews, oh my mentor passed away.
In my mentors interviews i got some wsidom, this was a general thing but i did zero to the wisdom of the blame people. Our lives are characterized by people saying, oh X refused to do Y and therefore caused Z. It is more visible in the planet politics, people say that others were supposed to have done some stuff and when they refused they caused some things to happen, yeah blaming.
Now here is the lesson, in an interview, this person, i mean my great mentor said , if they accuse you of not doing something or rather if one blutantly says that you killed guys by your actions, it is not important for you to convince or rather exit by saying that you did not cause their deaths , all that is important is the fact that YOU DID NOT SAVE THOSE WHO DIED. Therefore to be fair to humanity you have got to try and make it an obligation to save humanity.
The moral is that every person should see blames in a positive sense as a kind of expectation that the society has got or rather expects from you.

hope i get inspiration from a great person,

see a paraphrased quote from this great person below:
"I am not saying that i will change the world, but i can guarantee that i will spark the brain that will change the world"

Technology for the third world students

To be a technology student is a great thing particularly if you are from the third world, i cant comment how it feels for the technology students from the other side of the divide because myself am from the third world side.
Human existence has seen so many change, Agrarian revolution, industrial revolution and then what can be called information revolution. I have a mind that tells me that this last revolution is the best of them because in it there are chances of seeing a possibility of equality and fair chances because, in my perspective as a student in iformation technology am able to achieve as much as a student in the developed world.
The fact that we can get facilities like free books and overwelming free information from the internet makes this possible.
One other very important thing that i think in my view is an advantage is the fact that the basic resource for the technology student, IT in this case is the PC which if added the free software that we have available to us just gets everything going, thanks to the great people like Richard Stallman who believe that "it doesnt make alot of sense to spend your life building walls to divide humanity, it just kills interraction and hence development".
Imagine in our local colleges we are trying to make everyone embrace open source and work harder to give returns to this field, the open source field that has been a great blessing people in the third world.
Hope that whoever reads this finds something positive in this whole thing.
Thanks friends on the internet.
