why free software?

Imagine having to pay a license for every computer program that you test or user, ok if you are in the first world and you have many avenues or ways of making money then it is a little easy and you can pay the money because you can see yourself getting money out of the same in the future.
If you are the normal poor student or learner from the third world, unable to connect the future to the present, of course they are never connectible from the present looking perspective due to the uncertainties that are always there. I bet you will never be comfortable or rather cannot pay even if you wanted to, you don't have the money, what will you use to pay?
On the other side, imagine having used free software made cash by developing some applications for customers or just any clients, wont it be easy for you to donate to a foundation like Apache foundation? Now this is the logic of free software, i think it is like the banks that give credit to customers without security, it is a way of helping one another, this should be the reason for humanity, humanity is supposed to do good for one another, we have people with everything and people with nothing, this gap can only be closed through such a model, help the needy, they will reciprocate and even if they don't, the society will grow, which is a good thing.
Thanks to the FOSS people and the many people that keep the free software foundation alive.
